Rare 1948 Harry Truman The won’t do congress won’t do button (TRUMAN-020). This celluloid-type political button was created for the 1948 Presidential Campaign in support of Harry Truman. The background of the button is pink and in black lettering it paraphrases one of Truman’s critiques of the United States Congress; “THE/WON’T DO/CONGRESS–/WON’T DO!” The back of the button has a blue ink stamp which reads, “734 BROADWAY / NEW YORK ?. N. Y.”
